It’s hard to believe I’m already past the midpoint of my software engineering internship at Fiducia AI. Over the last few weeks (Weeks 4 onward), I’ve continued pouring my energy into the fungal disease detection activation. This project has grown from a rough idea into a working demo, and it’s been both challenging and rewarding to guide that process. I’ve been hands-on with everything from brainstorming better detection methods to refining the user experience, and along the way I’ve learned so much about balancing experimentation with real-world constraints. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see it start catching those tricky plant diseases (in augmented reality, no less) and to feel my own confidence growing with each new hurdle overcome.
Looking ahead, I’m also gearing up for an exciting new challenge: a cybersecurity scanner project that’s on the horizon. I can’t spill too many details just yet, but I’m thrilled about the opportunity to dive into a completely different domain and apply my skills to something new. It’s a little bittersweet realizing how fast time is flying though. I’m grateful that I still have a few weeks left to learn and contribute. I’ll continue to work hard through the rest of the summer, and I plan to share a deeper reflection on the entire experience in a final blog post later in August or early September. Stay tuned!
